Wesley Booth Cover Reveal!

A big moment for any author is their cover reveal. An even bigger moment is their first ever cover reveal. So today on my Facebook Author Page I was thrilled to unveil the cover of my new children’s book, Wesley Booth Super Sleuth, which will be published by Scholastic in July 2015. I think Scholastic has done an incredible job with the cover and I can’t wait to see the finished product on bookstore shelves! I hope you all like it. I’d love to hear your feedback and please share this photo far and wide. Bring on July!

Update on my Writing Projects

World's Best Typewriter

I haven’t posted much about my writing lately, and considering this is my author page, I thought I’d better! It’s always great to see a new book coming together. It’s one of my favourite parts of the writing process. For the past few months I have been working on my new children’s novel, The Twin Spin, and my first draft is now just a couple of weeks away from ‘The End’. I think it’s a really great story, again for around the 9 to 12-year-old age bracket, and I can’t wait to send it to my publisher. But first it must go through some editing and get sent out to my wonderful test readers, so it is still a few months away from being submission ready.

People have been asking me what the status of my other books is, so here is a quick update:

  • The Twin Spin: First draft 80% completed.
  • Captain Falcon: Currently submitted to HarperCollins.
  • Wesley Booth: Slated for an August 2015 release with Scholastic.
  • Wesley Booth Sequel: Planning stage.

So 2015 promises to be a busy year on the writing front. I’ll be plugging away to finish one project, and then straight onto the next, and I’ll also have a book published this year.

As Miranda’s mother would say (in the aptly titled television show, Miranda), such fun!
